Release and Strengthen 釋放和強化

Often clients come to me for pain release or help them recover from injury etc. Yoga therapy offers a wide range of mind body exercises that can help alleviate pain, moving breath towards area of suffering, using props to keep the bones stabilized so the muscles around the pain can release. Aside from musculoskeletal pain release, supportive yoga poses also helps to decrease psychological stress and HPA axis (hypothalamic Pituitary Axis ) and sympathetic nervous system , in other words, it helps modulate inflammation and immune system.
學生我常來找我都是一些疼痛狀況或者復健運動。療癒瑜伽有很多身心健康的選擇,不但能夠減緩疼痛,同時引導呼吸來到身體疼痛的地方,利用輔具來穩定骨頭,讓肌肉釋放,除此之外,瑜伽能減緩身心疲勞,針對下視丘、和腎上腺軸和壓力調控在交感神經有極大的幫助,能調節發炎反應和提升免疫系統。
The traditional yoga practice which roots its philosophical path towards the understanding of suffering and how human cope with alleviating pain. The supported physical postures that affects cognition, awareness, muscle tones helps blood circulation, release compression and promote breathing mechanics to circulate oxygen, promote better and quicker healing process.
傳統瑜伽的練習建立在瑜伽哲學的基礎上,為了幫助我們了解人性的痛苦,教導如何面對身心的疾病。有支撐的瑜伽姿勢對身體的認知、意識、肌肉的緊張程度有很大的影響,除了促進血液的循環,釋放關節壓力和提升呼吸的能力以外,氧氣在血液循環中能加速身體的復原。

However I often find that there is always a missing element once the pain has been released and the stress is alleviated, that is to build proper strength to counter these pains so the next time the body encounter a stressful environment, it is better equipped with the proper muscle endurance and strength to buffer the stress.
但是我常發現這方式就缺乏了一個元素,就是疼痛舒緩了以後,還是需要建立肌力來面對未來身體在生活上面對的各種外來的壓力,建立肌力和肌耐力的目的是為了緩衝這些壓力避免它轉換到身體裡。

Enter strength and conditioning, at the end of the session, I often gives out some homeworks for the client to practice the next 14-30days, so they can strengthen area that causing them pain in the first place.
肌力和體能訓練的目的就在這裡,在結束前我會給一些作業,在接下來的14-30天針對當下需要加強的地方做一些簡單的肌力訓練,不是只有物理治療動作,而是針對造成她疼痛的肌力訓練讓他避免未來疼痛再度惡化。
Yoga has its place , so is massage, physical therapy, acupuncture or any other alternatove healing method, but getting stronger as an antidote to prevent pain again, It's only logical, and it's a better way forward.
瑜伽有他的好處。按摩、復健、針灸和其他的傳統治療豆有他的好處,但然後身體變強壯是預防疼痛的良藥,邏輯上這是個建立健康的正確觀念
Don't just follow one system, look at human body as a whole, if you're not getting stronger, healing is just incomplete.
所以不要就只是單純的依賴一個系統一個方式,以一個整體性的方式去檢視「人」的問題,如果你不強化弱的地方,療癒瑜伽就只是解決了一半的問題
